Founded by Kirk and Marcy Genthe in 1986, Genthe’s Clearance Center is family owned, celebrating over 30 years in business. While working at a scrap yard in Darlington, Kirk noticed many people were throwing away better appliances than he had at home. He started saving these appliances, servicing them and selling them to other appliance dealers in the Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois area. After about four months he opened his first store “New Glarus Appliance”, in New Glarus, WI. As the company grew we added New Brand Name Scratch and Dent Appliances, Furniture and Mattresses purchased from Major Chains across the United States.

At Genthe’s we carry both New Slightly Blemished and Pre-Owned Appliances, Mattresses and Furniture Products at low prices with top notch customer service. We also offer a full service department with a large selection of new and used parts available to our patrons.
